Ringo’s Nut and Leaf Collection
In this short video, Ringo talks through a box of collected macadamia nuts and leaves, pointing out differences between varieties.
Ringo first worked in sorting and has built a good eye for variety differences over time. As the season approaches, she’s back supporting sorting and preparation work, sharing some of the small details she notices when comparing nuts and leaves, including:
- Differences in nut size and shape
- Variation in leaf texture and edges
- Examples of varieties commonly seen across MFM orchards
It’s a simple, informal look at variety differences and the kind of observations that come from hands-on experience.
