I’ve been exploring what AI can do and asked Claude to write a history of the macadamia industry in Queensland. I have to say, the result was impressive.
The paper runs to over 20 pages and traces the industry from its Indigenous origins and early botanical discovery through commercial expansion and into the climate and sustainability pressures shaping it today. It’s a genuinely interesting read — the kind of longer-form perspective we don’t often stop to engage with in the middle of a busy season.
I enjoyed it and thought it was worth sharing. As with anything of this kind, read it with your own knowledge of the industry alongside it — but I think you’ll find it holds up well.
